26 weeks

Here I am at 26 weeks. Please excuse the scrubs.

We had a fantastic Christmas. Haley got so spoiled. We are so fortunate to have such thoughtful, generous family and friends. We can't thank everyone enough for all that they have done for us. We hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas as well.

We have taken down all of the Christmas decorations and have moved some furniture. We are working on clearing out the room that the nursery will be in so that we can paint and start putting stuff in there. It is so much fun doing all of this. I will update as things progress.

I think we are aiming for a March 7 baby shower, so everyone tentatively mark your calendars.

Our Christmas Card

Well, I was pretty lazy this year and don't plan on sending out Christmas cards. I will next year, of course, when Haley is actually here. However, if I had sent them out this year, this is the picture I would have used.

24 weeks

Well, my doctor's appointment was moved to today. I had another ultrasound to check on the posterior previa. It has started to resolve some, but not completely. Therefore, I'll have another ultrasound in three weeks and I will also do my sugar test to make sure I don't have gestational diabetes. Hopefully that will all go well. Most importantly, though, it is definitely still a girl. There is no doubt. Thank goodness, because a lot of stuff has been bought since we found out.

Still a girl...

Jenny (my mother-in-law), Scott and I have been working hard picking stuff out for the nursery. We have decided on a wall color, fabrics, furniture color, and we bought a rocker and ottoman.

The rocker

My friend from work, Lee Ann, made some beautiful letters for Haley's name to put on the wall. She hand painted them for us and I LOVE them. She is so sweet!

Haley's closet is starting to fill up with goodies and clothes. Her daddy put up a closet unit for her and it is fabulous. She is already getting spoiled and she is not even here yet.

Things are going great and I couldn't ask for more. I am 24 weeks today and getting bigger, and Haley is still kicking away. She is going to be a very active little girl! I hope she will keep me young. We are very excited about every new thing that is going on.

Starting to blog

22 weeks 2 days
We are patiently awaiting Haley Allison Jaquith. Our due date is April 2, 2009. She has been kicking like crazy for a few weeks now and it is such an amazing feeling. I am gaining weight and eating like crazy. Haley LOVES Italian food, but I always end up with heartburn and wonder if it was worth it. Our next OB appointment is Dec. 8 and I will have another ultrasound. At my last appointment, the MD told me that I have posterior previa which means that the placenta is over my cervix. This could be dangerous and cause a lot of bleeding. Therefore, I must be watched in the hopes that it will grow upwards on its own. If it does not, I'll need a c-section for sure.
We are working quite a bit on the nursery. We are trying to pick out the perfect fabrics right now. The one below is the main inspiration fabric and we will pull from these colors and use a shabby chic theme. I'll post pics as things progress.
