Haley's new trick

Recently, Haley learned how to climb up on the back of the couch and turn the overhead light on and off.  I didn't really object because she had so much fun doing it and it didn't seem that dangerous.  I did have to object when she decided that it was a ton of fun to dive head first back onto the couch.

Playing with daddy

This is how she came out of the door to go play.  Notice that she is looking down.  She instantly searches for her two, small rocks that we keep right by the door.  Anytime we are outside, she has to carry around her rocks.  We leave them by the door each time we finish playing.  She has them in her hands in almost all of these pictures.

 Silly girl!!

Photo session at the Botanical Gardens

I took Haley out to the Botanical Gardens the other day for a little photo shoot.  I was a little discouraged when we left because I didn't think that I got any good shots, but I got more than I thought.  She was so busy playing in the water, climbing any stairs she could find, and running up and down the hill to bother looking in my direction.  It is not easy to photograph a VERY busy 17 month old.  Here are some of the best ones (out of the 187 that I took).  She was full of expressions through the whole thing.

She won't actually wear the sunglasses, but she loves to play with them and keep them around her neck.
She was very tired by the end.

My attempts at photography (part 1)

Thanks to my wonderful mother-in-law, I am taking a photography class that focuses on photographing babies and children. I am loving it so far and hope to learn some things that I can use on Haley and any future children. These are all pictures that I took as my first homework assignment. There are bunches here and even more that I didn't post.

My attempts at photography (part 2)

All of these pictures are taken with my new 50mm lens. I'm in love with this lens!!
