Visits with friends and family

I am so sorry it has been so long since I have posted, but not much has gone on for me to post. We are still patiently awaiting Haley's arrival. I am 30 weeks this week, so just 10 more weeks until my due date. We are still working on the nursery, but we are having sewing machine issues at the moment so things are on hold.

This past weekend Haley and I got to visit with some of my good friends (Erin and Kris) and my mom. I haven't seen any of them since October when I was just newly pregnant. I have gotten a little bigger since then.

This is a picture of me, Kris, Erin and Kris's two and a half month old twins (Connor and Dylan). It was so, so fantastic to finally get to meet these sweet little boys. Scott and I really enjoyed spending time with all of them. The boys are adorable and really made me look forward to being able to hold Haley. I must say, though, I am very glad I'm not having twins! Kris and Joe are just exhausted.

This is me and Erin. She just recently passed all of her CPA exams and is now a CPA. We are so incredibly proud of her. She has worked harder than anyone can imagine.

This is my mom and me outside of the King Tut exhibit in Atlanta. We had a fantastic time seeing her and getting to spend time together. She is beyond excited about being a "Nana".

Starting the third trimester!

With the beginning of 2009, I'm starting my third trimester. Everything has been great so far. I had another OB appointment today and we had lots of good news. My placenta previa has resolved and there is no more need to worry about that. We also found out that she weighs approximately 3 lbs now and is around 15 inches long. This means that she is in the 90th percentile of growth which means she is BIG. I felt like she might be pretty big due to the fact that I can feel her all over, my belly seems huge and I can see parts of her body protruding out in some spots. There is no telling how big she will be closer to the due date. She is truly a Jaquith. She is very active and kicks all the time (which I absolutely love). Scott has found a new game to play with her. He loves to push on one side of my belly and have her kick on the other. He has found lots of amusement in this lately. He's going to be such a fun daddy. I also had my glucose test today to check me for gestational diabetes (they do this to all patients). I won't know the results of that for a bit, but hopefully I will pass the test! I'm a little nervous about it considering all the Christmas sweets I ate this year. So, lots of good news today and hopefully everything will stay this way.

The nursery is painted!

Scott and his dad worked very diligently this weekend to paint the nursery. We love the color. It is kind of a creamy yellow color. We also got the chair on Friday and put that in there. It's a light green color and both the chair and ottoman glide. It's so comfy!

Jenny (my mother-in-law) is now starting on the sewing stuff. These are some of the fabrics we are using.

The paisley will be on the outside of the bumper and in a blanket. The green and pink check will make up the cord on the bumper, the ties of the bumper, and be the top part of the curtains. The green polka dot fabric will be the majority of the curtains.

The closet is really filling up too.

Things are really coming along. I'll keep posting the progress.
